September Favorite Things

Due to Hurricane Dorian, my September Favorite Things is a little late. Fortunately, my family and I had no damage from the hurricane. We truly feel very blessed and send prayers to all the families, countries, and states that were affected.

The featured video is “Remove Manifesting Blocks.” Our thoughts manifest into the physical form. Expect what you want, but usually, we get discouraged if the manifestations do not appear on our timeframe. This video gives five techniques to push past the blocks. It is up to you!
1. We take the path of least resistance.
2. Look for symbols.
3. Start using one small intention to manifest daily. For example, a number series or a feather.
4. Always the darkest before the dawn.
5. Become aware of the small steps.

Aromatherapy for Relaxing

Aromatherapy is, as the name suggests, a therapy that uses aromas. These aromas are produced from plants, trees, and herbs. Aromatherapy oils have the ability to affect our moods and fill a whole room with their fragrance. The oils can be smelled, put in a simple burner, or applied to the skin. There is also an electric aromatherapy vaporizer that uses water with the oils. Today we will discuss some essential oils that are good for relaxing.

Aromatherapy oils have the ability to affect our moods.

First, a warning about using the oils. The essential oils should not be applied directly to the skin undiluted. True essential oils are undiluted and come in small dark blue or brown bottles.

Oils for Relaxing

1. Clary Sage – It is extremely euphoric and is very good as an antidepressant. It is also good mixed into a bath.
2. Jasmine – Jasmine is one of the most powerful of the antidepressant oils. It has a sweet floral fragrance. It also has aphrodisiac and sedative properties. It should be used in moderation.
3. Lavender – If you had to choose just one essential oil, choose lavender. It is versatile oil and is derived from the flowers of the herb. Lavender has strong calming qualities and is effective for tension, depression, and insomnia. Put a drop of lavender oil on your pillow at night.
4. Rose – The scent is very feminine. It is strongly antidepressant and has aphrodisiac properties… Try adding a few drops to your bath water.
5. Sandalwood – This is a warm, sweet, woody essence that comes from the sandalwood tree. It has a calming, antidepressant effect and is also has aphrodisiac proprieties.
6. Lemon – It is refreshing, cleansing oil. It can help with depression and fatigue. The oil comes from the peel of the fruit.

My New Year’s Rituals

Happy New Year! In numerology, 2018 was a two-year cycle. I felt it was quite challenging for many people. 2019 is a three-year numerology cycle. This is the year that your innermost heartfelt desires can take form. It will be a pivotal year for many. The themes for the 3-year cycle are JOY, creativity, communication, and expression. It will be a year to have fun. Try my New Year’s Rituals.

What do you want to bring into the new year and what do you want to leave behind? This is a question that you may want to spend some time thinking about this holiday. There is a solar eclipse on January 5, so, there is tremendous energy for you to work with and channel.

My New Year’s Rituals

1. Today, get out your journal and spend some time reviewing 2018. Sit in a quiet spot and reflect on the past year without judgment. Try answering some of these questions;
a. What was the most significant thing that happened in your life in 2018?
b. List one joy and one sorrow that you experienced this year.
c. What is the greatest thing you learned this year?
d. What are you most thankful for this year?

2. Next, list what you want to leave behind in 2018. What is getting in the way of living the life you want? If you could change one thing about your life, what would it be?

 

LIGHT A CANDLE

3. Light a candle and say a prayer of gratitude for 2018. Let a feeling of appreciation permeate your whole being. Now, leave 2018 behind, except for the lessons you learned. You may want to write down what you are leaving behind on a sheet of paper and carefully burn it. Put the ashes into the wind.

4. Then, make a list of what you would like to manifest in 2019 in your journal. Write a big 2019 on the top of the page. Be very clear with your intentions. Write them in a positive form and believe the Universe will open the doors. God wants us to live happy, abundant lives. Commit to yourself that this year you will listen to your inner guidance and follow it. At the top of your list write, “This or something better will manifest in 2019!” Say that out loud and believe it in your soul. Whenever doubt or fear sets in, go back to your intentions.

 

PICK ONE WORD TO DEFINE 2019

5. Pick one word that will define your year. Write it on your 2019 page in your journal. Ideas: success, love, compassion, relationships, sensitivity, abundance.

6. Make a list of what you will do to nurture yourself and your soul in 2019. Ideas: begin a meditation practice, journal, read inspirational books.

7. Get out some colored pencils or makers and decorate this page.

The Magic of Gratitude

Gratitude is a powerful feeling that will raise your vibration and your energy. When your energy is vibrating at a higher frequency, you will attract more happiness, more love, and more abundance into your life. Gratitude is not ego driven. It is aligned with your true Inner Self and helps you remain in a state of grace. Learn and practice the magic of gratitude.

Think of gratitude like a magnet, and you are pulling more blessing toward yourself. Gratitude is felt in the heart, not the head. When you can remain in a state of gratitude, miracles will occur.

If you feel you are Blessed, more Blessings will follow.

Some days it can be very difficult to feel thankful for anything, but, that is when you dig deep and find something simple to be thankful for. It could be the way the light shines through a window. I could be the sound of the birds chirping in the morning. It could be the person that smiled at you today. It could be a beautiful cloud formation.

Today start a gratitude practice, and you will see positive changes in your life.

Try the ideas below:

1. Before you get out of bed in the morning, think of five things you are grateful for.
2. Keep a gratitude journal. Every day write down several things you are grateful for. Try not to repeat the items.
3. Get into the practice of smiling. Smile at the check-out person at the grocery store. Smile at the stranger that you pass on the street.
4. Write a letter to someone to thank them for their love or their help. How about thanking a former teacher that mentored you?
5. Keep a list handy throughout the day. Every time you feel blessed, write it down. Look it over at the end of the day. How does it make you feel?

Raise your vibration and your energy levels with gratitude. Use the laws of the Universe to work with you, not against you.
