3 Steps to Your Best Summer Ever

By: Gloria Marie

divorced, divorced women, divorce the divorce,

It is hard to believe it is the middle of May already. Summer is right around the corner. Do you have any plans yet for the summer? I remember while growing up how exciting it was to have the whole summer off from school. We would spend days in our above ground pool and take breaks from swimming to play board games. I loved reading, so, summer was also a time to leisurely read. Nancy Drew books were my favorite. Try these 3 steps to your best summer ever.

This summer try to make it your best summer ever. What brings you joy? What makes your heart sing? A friend of mine is going through a tough time and I encouraged her to do something that she loves doing. She responded, “I do not know what brings me joy. I work a lot and never do anything for myself.”

It is easy to get complacent and just exist day to day. God wants us to have joyful, happy lives. Take some time to plan for your summer. I decided this summer I want to try watercolor painting. It is a gift to myself. I may not have any talent for it, but, I can assure you I will have fun experimenting with the paints and brushes.

3 Steps to Your Best Summer Ever
Allow yourself 5 – 10 minutes of quiet time to write out your answers. Sit in a chair, take a few deep breaths and think back to your childhood or a summer when you had a great time. What were you doing? Where were you? Who were you with? What made you smile? Your answers do not have to be complicated, simple answers are the best.
Step 1. Get a sheet of paper and a pen. At the top of the page write, “The Top 10 things that would MAKE THIS YOUR BEST SUMMER EVER”. Write the numbers 1- 10. Imagine the sun is shining. You’re relaxed, happy, can’t help but smile and are at peace with yourself and the world. What are you doing? What’s going on in your life? Now, start writing the 10 things.
If your life is busy with not many options right now, find small things you can do for yourself. (a 20 minute walk, dinner with friends, a weekend away) And remember- your best summer ever may be about what you don’t do as well. (Taking a nap, resting)
Step 2. Below your 10 things, write 3 actions that will move you closer to your BEST SUMMER EVER. These can be small action steps. The important point is that you take these three steps this week.
Step 3. Next week create 3 more action steps based on your 10 things.
What would make this your best summer ever?

Crystals and Gemstones for Romance

By: Gloria Marie

Crystals and gemstones for romance are rose quartz, rhodochrosite, and moonstone. Rose quartz is the most common crystal used for romance. According to legend, Eros, the Greek God of love, brought rose quartz to the earth in the hope that its gorgeous color would arose love and desire. Since the Middle Ages, rose quartz has been considered a love charm.

Rose Quartz stimulates circulation and thus increases sexuality. It is considered helpful in affairs of the heart and the heart chakra. It is found naturally as a piece of quartz.

Consider buying a rose quartz. It comes in all sizes and price ranges. I keep a small rose Quartz crystal in my bedroom, another in my living room and I wear a rose quartz bracelet. Its beautiful pink translucent color reminds me of romance.

Rhodochrosite symbolizes openness. It is said to awaken all-embracing love that is not limited to one person. Native Americans used to offer the stone as a token of love. The Incas called it “Inca rose.” Psychologically rhodochrosite helps the wearer to achieve self-knowledge and reduce stress.

Rhodochrosite represents love and compassion. It is a wonderful crystal to work with to give and receive love. It also stimulates feeling and promotes intuition.

It can be used as a polished stone for laying on the body or cut as jewelry. It is colored bright red to pink or pink with partial white stripes. The larger crystals come from Peru and Colorado.

Moonstone has always been the stone of love and lovers. It is a very powerful healing stone for women. It symbolizes love and tenderness to lovers and for passion in romance. Legend has it that it is especially powerful when used on a full moon. It is egg-shell colored, yellowish, bluish or blue.

Their properties for love, may be all legend, but, I think it is worth a try!

Powerful Affirmations

By: Gloria Marie

divorce advice, divorce, divorced women, single women, single happy strong

Affirmations are positive statements that can be repeated on a regular basis. They can be written, repeated orally or both. Powerful affirmations help us control our thoughts.
James Allen in his book, “As You Thinketh”, written in 1904, states, “All that you achieve and all that you fail to achieve is the direct result of your own thoughts”.

Positive affirmations work! They can transform your life. They are simple to incorporate into your daily activities. I write down my affirmations on index cards and keep them with me all day. Or I will put them on post it notes on my mirror in the bathroom and on my desk. Put them wherever you spend time. They are constant reminders to keep thoughts positive and transforming.

Some people sing their affirmations. Music and affirmations are a great combination. It is a joyful, happy way to incorporate them into your life.

Some days I may work with 10 affirmations. Other days or weeks, I may only work with one. I will write them down and read them out loud. The more you say them, the better. Replace those fearful or negative thoughts with positive ones.
3 Steps to Begin Using Affirmations
Affirmations should be written in the present tense.
Think about what you would like to change or improve in your life.
Write them on index cards or post it notes and read aloud daily.
Some examples of affirmations:
I trust the process of life.
I am healing.
I am now releasing all fears.
I am strong.
I am lovable.
I am grateful for all the gifts this day will bring.
I am creative and the Universe supports me.

Change your thoughts, change your life. Repeat your affirmations over and over and over. Create some wonderful powerful affirmations TODAY!

Crystal Meditation for Manifesting

This sensational Sunday I will be introducing a crystal meditation for manifesting.  Meditation can be a means to find inner peace and happiness. There are many different meditation techniques and styles.  This is just a quick meditation for you to try today.

Sit upright in a chair in a quiet place in your home.  Turn off your phone, computer, and television. Try to eliminate all outside distractions.  Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths.  Scan you body for any tension you are holding. Breathe into the tension to release it. Now picture a large, clear quartz crystal. It is magnificent and has many points that are catching the sunlight. Picture yourself walking up to this large crystal.  You look closely and see it has many chambers inside. It is like a large, crystal clear castle.  Step inside, feel how cool it is being inside. Notice the beautiful bright sunlight shining through the many points. You feel tremendous energy being in the crystal castle. It is glorious.  Begin to explore the different chambers; they are all unique, gorgeous, and soothing.  You feel at peace and at home.  Keep exploring and touching the cools walls. After you feel you have explored all the chambers, you see a door.  Slowly open the door.  Who do you see? Is it who or what you expected?  Is it someone you know or hope to know?  An angel?  Spirit guide? Deceased family member? Smile and give the person a hug.

Now gradually step out of the crystal. Feel your feet on the ground, breathe.  Open your eyes and look around your room.  Take a deep breath. Do you feel lighter? Refreshed? Surprised?

Spend some time journaling about who you saw when you opened the door and your reactions.  What meaning did it have for you?

Eros, the Greek God of love, brought rose quartz to the earth in the hope that its gorgeous color would arise love, romance, and desire. Since the Middle Ages, rose quartz has been considered a love charm. Get some rose quartz for romance and to surround yourself with its energy.

Rose Quartz stimulates circulation and thus increases sexuality. It is considered helpful in affairs of the heart and the heart chakra.  It is found naturally as a piece of quartz. It is usually found in Madagascar, Brazil, United States, and Austria.

Consider buying a rose quartz.  It comes in all sizes and price ranges.  I keep a small rose Quartz crystal in my bedroom, another in my living room and I wear a rose quartz bracelet.  Its beautiful pink translucent color reminds me of romance.  When you go to purchase one, hold several in your hands before you decide on the one to buy. Listen to your heart while choosing one.

When you buy a piece of rose quartz for your home, place it in your bedroom.  If you decide to buy another one, walk around your home and feel where you think it would be best displayed. It has powerful energy even when simply placed in a room as a raw stone.

When placed next to the computer is can prevent headaches and eye fatigue, while placed next to the bed it can improve the quality of your sleep.
