Love my new cookbook!
I love to cook and I collect cookbooks of all types. This one has simple recipes and beautiful photographs. It is really almost like a coffee table book. Some of my favorite recipes: asparagus tart, beer battered artichoke hearts, eggplant salad and roasted veggie gnocchi.
Favorite Meditation App
Buddify- Some days, I find it difficult to meditate. On those days, I prefer a guided mediation. One of my favorites is Buddify. It is pleasing to look at and has a great variety of meditations to choose from. It is an easy app to navigate. One of my favorite is their “Kind” meditation.

A cherished family recipe. She would make these for friends and family every Christmas.
Ingredients: 1 stick butter, 1 cup sugar, 3 eggs, 3 cups flour, ¼ teaspoon salt, 3 teaspoons baking powder, 3 teaspoons anise flavoring, 3 teaspoons anise seeds, 1 cup silvered almonds
Cream butter, sugar. Add one egg at a time. Beat well. Add flour with salt, baking powder, and flavoring. Stir in seeds and nuts. Divide dough in 3 parts as a loaf of bread. Bake 350 degrees for 35 minutes. Remove from oven and slice diagonally. Each loaf makes about 10 biscotti. Re-bake 10 more minutes or until light brown.
